House of Blues

All I can say is WOW!!!!!!
First of all I want to start off by saying that for myself, being able to perform at the HOUSE of Blues was a dream come true. One of the many "when I perform here" places. It was everything and more than I expected. Oh shout out to my manager Calvin Collins of Collins Management Group for the hustle and getting it all done.
So this is how the day went. Woke up, got dressed, met some of the street team and my artists at galleria. Did some shopping for the show, passed out some fliers, and burned out. Met artist and producer J Needum(B.E.Z) at Northpark with his son. We did some more shopping, promoting, and burned out.
I then hit HOB for sound check and met up with Calvin and my bro, CEO, producer, artist J.Rhodes whose Cd "THE TALENTED MR.RHODES" is available for free download at http://Jrhodes.bandcamp.com (I GOT YOU RHODES) LOL
Back to story--so went thru the soundcheck and bounced cause I had to go get ready for this epic concert. So I get dropped off by Dj LilBro and Eskuire and head in through the backstage. (Symphonic battle music starts playing in my head) I grab my ALL ACCESS badge and started my rockstar journey down the long hall. I greet all the artist that are on the lineup and we chill and wait for ADd to get it poppin.
So ADd shows up in the nick of time and pops it off...stellar performance as usual. Dudes are the best hiphop group in the world right now...I dare anyone to contest...Im so serious. They finished their set of dope, funny, different, original, lyrical, and vulgar creations and jammed the hell out!!
Next up was my artist Ni Taylor! The first lady of Dallas UBER(huge) label 80's Baby Entertainment which I am VP of but anyway lol..Now I do hype man services for Ni Taylor so we bringing it on every performance and this one was no regular performance. From the intro, just knowing that she was bout to kill it, I had to add some extra flavor to it. So I set up the trap for her to make the kill and she did it beautifully. Ni's beautiful appearance, appeasing voice, and dynamite flow captures everyone's attention. Things come to mind like, Damn she too fine to be spitting that cold, and damn she too fine to be equipped with a flow like that, yo she spits fast, yo she spits slow, YOOOOO!! LOL...from the stage I could see all of your thought bubbles floating above your heads. You were all thinking that. We killed the performance and had to shoot a special shout out to the beautiful, talented, legendary turntable monstress Spinderella for coming out and supporting Ni and 80's Baby Entertainment. The crowd went nuts when they saw her in the building.
Next up was Leon the Professional. Yo my dude, rapper, B-Boy, and kicks fanatic was on par! Yo if you don't know your history of hip hop or just don't hold the mental capacity to process deep music being a pro aint for you. His combination of beats with story telling reminds me of when hip hop was building itself. When hip hop wasn't so much what the beat was, but was what the spitter was saying. His show accompanied by his steal briefcase was awesome and a breathe of fresh air. He is also DOPE!! He can't bust a windmill like me but he still da homie!! LOL Pro you my BOY!!!
Next up was the J.Rhodes set....OMG! First off, from the first of only 2 rehearsals with Mixxed Breed..I knew instantly we paired up perfectly. The exchange was like Avatar and the flying banchies. (yo that is a great band name, Avatar and the FlyingBanchies(c)) but yeah on Avatar there is only one Flying banchie that was destined for them and the way to find their destined banchie was by going to their breeding ground and which ever one tries to kill you...that is your flying banchie. Watch the movie and get back to me if you don't get it.
Okay so Intro done by moi, Band MIXXED BREED playing in full effect as the intro is building, I step on stage and I just feed off the band and crowds amazement at the sound that is blazing at them. I say whatever the house of blues spirit hits me with. It was so theatrical and felt so damn good, I have no idea what I said. The darkness and flashing lights made the crowd look like thousands at the American Airlines Center...I zoned the Fock out and set up the stage for Rhodes and Mixxed Breed to go for broke and you know what...nothing less than the best and they brought 10 times that. It felt as if the band and J Rhodes had been playing together for a long time. Only 2 rehearsals brought that out, just imagine whats about to be presented later from Mixxed Breed and the 80's Baby Artists. J Rhodes hit em with new tracks from the "THE TALENTED MR. RHODES" and from Glorias Sun .5 and it was nothing less than stellar! We went all in and gave the crowd @House of Blues everything that we had that night.
After Rhodes set we had Charlie B step up. Young new talent in the Dallas area that is hitting the youngins with that Pop. Nothing like him in Dallas. He did his thing and did very well for a young pop star at HOB but like I said he's young and this gave him a lot of good experience. I guarantee next time you see him...whole new ball game..batters up!
Next up was the Alternative Awesome Ass band TwiceBroken! My dudes ripped it up. I felt like a freakin starstruck 10yr old with BieberFever and thats all I wanna say on that! Look out for them starting......NOW!
Man this was an amazing experience for me to be able to perform at one of the TOP performance venues in the world. A lot of people have not even come close to this and it was an honor. I look forward to coming back and doing it again. All my readers stay close cause Klyrik and 80's Baby Entertainment are just getting started!!
Well damn, I think I ranted more than I wanted too. Be on the lookout for more...80sUP!!!
